Larry Castruita, ESQ
Educational background: Larry Castruita graduated from the University of Southern California in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business. Following his graduation, he enjoyed a successful career in the music industry while establishing various entertainment companies. In 2011, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School, focusing on Entertainment Law and Trial Advocacy. During law school, Mr. Castruita was on the International Entertainment Law Review. He gained practical experience by working at The Kernan Law Firm, an entertainment litigation firm, the Law Offices of Gary P. Fine, a music transactional firm, and Warner Chappell Music Publishing.
Experience: Mr. Castruita started his career as an entertainment transaction and litigation attorney, quickly making a name for himself in the courtroom by conducting both state and federal trials. In 2016, based on his trial experience, he was invited to join Hackler, Daghighian, Martino & Novak, LLP in Beverly Hills and then Century City as a trial lawyer.
In 2019, alongside Sepehr Daghigian, Mr. Castruita achieved notable recognition for securing the highest jury verdict in California for an automobile case that did not involve personal injury.
Later in 2019, Mr. Castruita moved to the O’Connor Law Group in Laguna Beach, where he continued his work as a trial attorney. He has participated in over a hundred trials, with more than thirty resulting in jury verdicts. His trial experience spans various areas, including consumer protection, entertainment, personal injury, corporate law, defamation, real estate, and other civil litigation matters.
In September 2023, Mr. Castruita launched his trial firm, C&C Trial Factory, along with the C&C Lemon Factory. His firm specializes in civil trial work, focusing on areas such as consumer protection, entertainment, personal injury, corporate law, defamation, real estate, and various other civil litigation matters. He continues to be one of the most sought-after trial attorneys for civil litigation.
Throughout his career as an attorney, Mr. Castruita has represented a number of notable clients, including Quincy Jones, Scott Weiland, the band Trapt, American Commission Records, Jake and Papa, and the writers of the motion picture "GI Joe." He has also worked with the original television series "Hawaii 5-0," Rolan Bolan, son of Marc Bolan, regarding Marc Bolan and T. Rex's royalties, as well as Sylvester Stone from Sly and the Family Stone.
Interest/Likes: In his spare time, Mr. Castruita enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, snowboarding, playing hockey, and traveling.
Fav ‘90s Song: Mr. Castruita is often asked about his favorite song or artist. His response is always, “I love music too much to single out anything in particular, but my favorite artist of all time is still Michael Jackson, and my favorite band of all time is the Red Hot Chili Peppers.” When asked about his favorite 90s song, he says, “It would be hard to choose just one,” he could only offer various artists he listened to a lot. Towards the top is KP & Envy’s "Shorty Swing My Way," LL Cool J’s "Around the Way Girl," C&C Music Factory’s "Gonna Make You Sweat" and "Do You Want to Get Funky," The Real McCoy’s "Run Away," Zhane’s "Hey Mr. DJ," A Tribe Called Quest’s "Award Tour," SWV’s "Right Here," Nas’ "Ain’t Hard to Tell," Outkast’s "ATLiens" and "Wheels of Steel," DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince’s "He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper," Heavy D’s "Now That We Found Love," and Biggie’s "Juicy," along with just about anything from Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and 2Pac. He also enjoys Daft Punk, noting that "Around the World" was released in the 90s. “I know I am missing so many.” Mr. Castruita still DJs as a hobby and has been tapped to play in the Maldives and other locations in the ambient pool house genre.
