Keisha Payne, ESQ

Experience: Keisha Payne is a litigation attorney focused on resolving disputes in consumer protection, business, entertainment, and intellectual property matters. She brings extensive experience from her work across multiple legal disciplines, including entertainment, media, and business law. 

Keisha began her legal career at Village Roadshow Entertainment Group, where she rose to Senior Director of Business and Legal Affairs, negotiating hundreds of film and television deals. Following that, she joined Crooked Media as their first in-house counsel, utilizing her business and legal acumen to help grow the company’s operations and handle a wide variety of legal needs.

Keisha’s versatility in both transactional and litigation practices, combined with her strategic approach, enables her to deliver tailored legal solutions to her clients.

Education: Keisha holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and earned her law degree from Southwestern Law School with an Entertainment and Media law concentration, with honors. She was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program and completed a judicial externship with the Los Angeles Superior Court. Keisha was the recipient of CALI awards for Constitutional Criminal Procedure and Trademark Law, a Witkin Award for Critical Race Theory (Upper Division Writing), and the Professor’s Book Award for Sports Law. She and her partner were quarterfinalists in the Nelson Mandela International Negotiations Competition.

Interests/Likes: Born and raised in Los Angeles, Keisha is a passionate Lakers fan and is committed to giving back to her community. She serves on the board of Alexandria House, a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe and supportive housing for women and children experiencing homelessness and trauma.
